The 14 gg Crewneck Sweater - Nature
Why We Made The 14 gg Crewneck Sweater
Our customers love merino, but told us the same thing again and again: a classic merino sweater wears out quickly, especially at the elbows. So we started from there. Since 2024 we have been developing our knitwear, and this is the sweater we were ready to put our name on.
It is made in Italy from 17.5 micron merino, the same yarn as our popular t-shirts, which our customers have worn and tested in everyday life for over two years. The sweater is a plain jersey knit, fully fashioned: each piece is knitted to shape, which gives a clean finish with minimal cut waste.
The yarn is very fine, and four ends of it are knitted together, eight fine single threads in every stitch. This gives a noticeably smoother, more even surface, which feels softer against the skin and resists pilling better. We tested it in Ikast in an ICI Pilling Box (ISO 12945-1, 7,200 revolutions), where it reached a rating of 4.5 on the 1-5 scale, where 5 means no pilling.
Fit
We designed a sweater that stands on its own. The neck is firm and close-fitting, with clean fully fashioned details at the neck and shoulders.
The sleeves are cut slightly looser than on a classic fitted pullover, so the sweater works as a standalone knit with a t-shirt underneath. Sleeves and body have generous length in Regular, and are shorter in the Short version.
Expect to wear the same size as in our t-shirts. The sweater is built from the same size chart.

Quality at a low price
Why We’ve Chosen a Low Mark-Up
Our mission is to create products at the highest level while ensuring fair pay for everyone involved in the process. However, this level of craftsmanship naturally comes with a high production cost. That’s why we’ve chosen a different approach to mark-up compared to the traditional fashion industry.
For example, when you purchase a Globe Boxfit T-Shirt for 580 kr., its production cost is 263 kr., resulting in a mark-up of 2.2x. In contrast, the standard mark-up in the fashion industry is 4-8x. This means we carefully consider every step in our cost base to ensure efficiency without compromising quality.
In the end, our goal is simple: to craft exceptional products and offer them at a fair price, so more people can enjoy the comfort and durability of premium merino wool. Because we believe everyone deserves access to high-quality essentials.
