About us
Through NATIVA’s strict protocol, every step from farm to finished product is carefully audited, traceable, and certified. The program is backed by blockchain technology and built on science, transparency, and long-term impact.

Michael Vikkelsø
Michael is the visionary behind Durable Journey — and the driving force that turned a bold idea into a living, breathing brand. With a background in fashion retail and leadership, he stepped away from the conventional path to explore something more honest, more human, and more hopeful.
He believes that quality doesn’t need to shout, and that responsibility starts with asking better questions — like: Does the world really need another fashion brand? His work is rooted in building a transparent value chain, crafting meaningful communication, and creating products that truly matter.
Michael leads with purpose — not perfection. From transforming a forgotten auto house into a creative hub, to launching garments that grow from regenerative soil, he’s committed to rethinking what a fashion company can be, and who it should serve.

Klavs Breckling
Klavs Breckling has experienced the textile industry from another time — an era where craftsmanship and decency went hand in hand. With decades of experience and a deep respect for quality, Klavs is responsible for overseeing every part of Durable Journey’s production.
He works closely with our partners in Ikast and across Europe to ensure that every garment is made with care, transparency, and integrity. For Klavs, it’s not just about the product — it’s about building long-lasting relationships with the people who make them.
With more than 40 years in the industry, Klavs brings steady hands and sharp eyes to every stage of the journey. His dedication to honest production is a cornerstone of everything we do.

Mikkel Fangel Poulsen
Mikkel is the creative mind behind Durable Journey’s universe — where aesthetics meet values, and storytelling becomes a tool for transformation. He joined the team in 2023, bringing with him a background in visual communication, art, and creative direction.
Though new to the fashion industry, Mikkel has long had a love–hate relationship with it — fascinated by the aesthetics, but critical of its exploitation and superficiality. What drew him to Durable Journey was the vision: starting from regenerative agriculture and building a brand rooted in authenticity, ethics, and beauty.
His own life shift began years ago, after watching 180° South, a film that changed how he saw the world and his role in it. He left the city, took up beekeeping, grew food, and found purpose in simplicity and nature. That same regenerative mindset now guides his work at Durable Journey.
Mikkel protects the integrity of the vision — making sure that regeneration doesn’t become a marketing term, but stays a lived philosophy. He believes design can help reshape systems, and that fashion, when done right, can tell the story of a better future.

The Farmers Behind the Future
A regenerative future isn’t only about the land.
It’s about the people who care for it.
At the heart of Durable Journey’s value chain are the farmers — families and communities in Uruguay who live close to the land, and who carry generations of knowledge about how to work with nature, not against it.
These farmers are part of the NATIVA™ Regen program, where they’re not just seen as suppliers, but as stewards of the soil. Through rotational grazing and holistic land management, they actively restore ecosystems while raising animals with dignity and care.
But regeneration isn’t only ecological.
It’s social.
When we invest in regenerative wool, we also invest in livelihoods. In stable incomes. In training and support. In dignity. This work strengthens local communities, protects cultural traditions, and creates futures that don’t require people to choose between survival and sustainability.
A better fashion system starts here —
on the ground, with the people who never left it.
